How scoring works in Azul
Azul scoring rewards careful tile placement. During each round you score points immediately for tiles placed on the wall based on their adjacency to other tiles. At the end of the game you also gain bonuses: 2 points for each completed horizontal line, 7 points for each completed vertical column, and 10 points for collecting all five tiles of a single color anywhere on the wall. Enter your running point total throughout the rounds, then add the end-game bonuses to see the final score.

Azul scorecard — common questions
How are adjacent-tile bonuses scored in Azul?+
When you complete a tile on your wall, you score 1 point for it plus 1 more for every tile already in a continuous horizontal AND vertical line through it. So a tile surrounded by 2 horizontal and 3 vertical neighbors scores 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 points. The wall fills up satisfyingly as the game progresses.
What are the end-game bonuses?+
After the game ends: +2 points for each completed horizontal row on your wall, +7 points for each completed vertical column, +10 points for collecting all 5 tiles of a single color anywhere on the wall. These bonuses often decide tight games.
Why do I lose points from the floor line?+
Tiles that don't fit in your pattern lines (or that overflow) drop to the floor line, where each tile costs you 1-3 points at round-end. Late-round drafting often forces players to take tiles they'd rather not. Managing floor-line damage is a key skill.
Is it really free? Do I need to sign up?+
Yes, free, no signup. The scorecard runs entirely in your browser — no account, no app to install, no tile data sent anywhere. Ads on the page keep the site running.
How do I share the scorecard with my table?+
Tap the QR code button at the top of any scorecard. Everyone scans it with their phone camera and gets a live view of the same scorecard — they can watch the leaderboard update in real time as you tap.
Do scores save if I close the tab?+
Yes — the in-progress scorecard is saved automatically in your browser. Open the same scorecard URL on the same device and your scores will still be there. To clear, tap Reset.
Does it work on mobile?+
Yes — every scorecard is built phone-first. Big tap targets, big numbers, designed to be passed around the table. Bookmark to your home screen for one-tap access.
Can I undo a tap?+
Yes — every scorecard has an Undo button at the top. It rolls back the last 20 score changes. The Reset button starts the whole game over.
What if my game isn't listed?+
Use the Any Board Game generic scorecard — it gives you flexible round columns and editable labels so you can score basically any round-based game. If you want a specific game added, the AI Prompts Library link in the footer has a feedback form.
